value of a hand is the sum of the values of the individual cards. Blackjack beats a score of 21. The Increase and Decrease buttons are used to adjust the size of your bet.
These may be represented as either a + and - symbol or up and down arrows. If you beat the dealer with a BLACKJACK you are paid out at 3 to 2. If the player doubles and the dealer's first card is of value 11, and the dealer gets blackjack, the player loses both his bets. If your first two cards have the same point value, you may split them into two separate hands by placing a second bet equal to the original bet.
The SPLIT button is only available if the first two cards dealt are a pair.
