Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer.
Upon wagering, you and the dealer (the
computer) are dealt two cards to start. The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going Bust. It is the strongest hand in Blackjack, and automatically stands. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts.
After each round, used cards are returned to the deck and the deck is shuffled.
If the dealer's hand total and the player's hand total are the same than the hand is a tie or PUSH and the player's bet is returned. Your hand is divided into two separate hands and a bet equal to your original bet is placed on the second hand. It does not cover any second hands on a split, or a double bet. You can HIT as many times as you wish until your hand goes bust or you decide to STAND. If you are dealt a Blackjack (an ace and a card of value ten) then the dealer will automatically lose unless his single card is an Ace or a card of value 10.
If you have SPLIT a pair of aces and then draw a card with a value of ten then this is not a BLACKJACK.
