Upon wagering, you and the dealer (the
computer) are dealt two cards to start. If you are dealt an Ace and a card with a value of 10, you have Blackjack. You decide what value is more beneficial to your hand. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a “push”. Your chips are stacked by denomination ($1, $5,
$25, $100, $500) at the bottom of the game window.
After each round, used cards are returned to the deck and the deck is shuffled.
The object of Blackjack is to obtain a hand with the highest possible value without exceeding 21. A new window will open displaying the minimum and maximum bet. The goal is for the player's hand to add up to 21 or come closer to 21 than the dealer's hand. The Hit button deals you another card. If your first two cards have the same point value, you may split them into two separate hands by placing a second bet equal to the original bet. You can split two cards with the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours, by clicking the Split button.
