The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 or 7 playing positions. During a game of Blackjack cards are dealt from a deck of cards called a shoe. Cards are worth their face value with the exception of Kings, Queens, and Jacks which are each worth 10 and Aces which are
worth either 1 or 11.
Each of the player's hands is dealt two cards. If you beat the Dealer with Blackjack you are paid out at odds of 3 to 2.
The Dealer is also dealt two cards but only one card is face up. If the dealer's hand and the player's hand are both under 21 the hands are compared. If you split a pair of Aces and then draw a card with a denomination of 10, this is not Blackjack, although it has a value of 21. If the Dealer makes 21 with 3 or more cards, the Players Blackjack wins. The STAND button ends your hand and moves game play to the next available hand – your next hand or the completion of the dealer's hand. If your card count goes over 21, you lose.
