Blackjack is amongst the most popular and well recognized of modern Casino games.
Aces can be valued at either one or eleven;
if counting the Ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the Ace is
automatically counted as one instead. For example, a
hand containing a Jack, 3, and 4 has a value of 17. The Dealer will announce Blackjack, pay you one and one-half times the bet, then remove those cards before acting on any other hands.
If you are dealt an Ace and a 10 or face card this is called a BLACKJACK and your hand will STAND automatically. If he has Blackjack, the hand will be a Push (Standoff) If the player's hand is closer to 21 the player wins, if the dealer's hand is closer to 21 the player loses. If the player doubles and the dealer's first card is of value 11, and the dealer gets blackjack, the player loses both his bets. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split. If your card count goes over 21, you lose.
