The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 or 7 playing positions. The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going Bust. Cards 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 count at face value. Our casino version of blackjack is played using European Blackjack rules and four 52-card decks that are shuffled after each hand. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a “push”. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts. The Increase and Decrease buttons are used to adjust the size of your bet.
The bets can only be changed or added between games. The DEAL button starts a new game of blackjack. It does not cover any second hands on a split, or a double bet. Cards of the same value but not of the same denomination cannot be split in this version of Blackjack. If you do not have Blackjack on your first two cards, you may decide to stand (draw no more cards), or hit (draw more cards) until you decide to stand. You then proceed to draw cards.
