Blackjack is played with 4 decks of cards – with the jokers removed – that are shuffled after the completion of every game.
The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 or 7 playing positions. Wagers are placed in the circles provided. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck to 6 such decks. You do not need to specify which value the
Ace has as it's always assumed to have the value that makes the best hand. You can double when your hand has a value of 9, 10 or 11. The Dealer will be dealt one card. If your hand does not exceed 21 after receiving eleven cards, your hand automatically stands, and the Dealer plays its hand. Each of the player's hands is dealt two cards.
However, if the Dealers face up card is an Ace or Ten value card, he will act on all hands. If the dealer's hand and the player's hand are both under 21 the hands are compared. The Deal button starts a new game of Blackjack. If the player doubles and the dealer's first card is of value 11, and the dealer gets blackjack, the player loses both his bets. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split.
The SPLIT button is only available if the first two cards dealt are a pair.
