The object of the game is to draw cards totaling closer to 21 than the Dealer draws without going over 21. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck to 6 such decks. Your hand automatically stands. Picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) count as ten. It cannot be beaten, only matched. If your hand does not exceed 21 after receiving eleven cards, your hand automatically stands, and the Dealer plays its hand. The Dealer will announce Blackjack, pay you one and one-half times the bet, then remove those cards before acting on any other hands.
The Dealer is also dealt two cards but only one card is face up. The player may double after splitting. The goal is for the player's hand to add up to 21 or come closer to 21 than the dealer's hand. Cards of the same value but not of the same denomination cannot be split in this version of Blackjack. If you are dealt a Blackjack (an ace and a card of value ten) then the dealer will automatically lose unless his single card is an Ace or a card of value 10.
If you have SPLIT a pair of aces and then draw a card with a value of ten then this is not a BLACKJACK.
