In Blackjack, aces count as either 1 or 11, face cards as 10, and number cards as their face value. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck to 6 such decks. The Dealer is dealt two cards but only one card is face up. If you receive an Ace and a Ten value card as your first two cards, you have Blackjack. The Deal button starts a new game of Blackjack. If the Dealer makes 21 with 3 or more cards, the Players Blackjack wins. For example, a King and a Ten have the same numerical value, but cannot be split because the cards are not the same denomination.
