In Blackjack, before you are dealt any cards you have the option of making a $1 side bet that allows you to participate in additional payouts.
You may draw as many additional cards as wanted as long as the value of your hand does not exceed 21.
The dealer must stand on a hard or soft 17 or higher and draw on a hard or soft 16 or lower. Blackjack is when your hand contains an Ace and a card with a value of ten. No re-splitting of cards allowed. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts. The Dealer will announce Blackjack, pay you one and one-half times the bet, then remove those cards before acting on any other hands.
The Dealer is also dealt two cards but only one card is face up. If the dealer's hand and the player's hand are both under 21 the hands are compared. If the player's hand is closer to 21 the player wins, if the dealer's hand is closer to 21 the player loses. Cards of the same value but not of the same denomination cannot be split in this version of Blackjack. For example, a King and a Ten have the same numerical value, but cannot be split because the cards are not the same denomination. If you are dealt a Blackjack then he will not be allowed to draw further cards as he already has the best possible hand.
