In Blackjack, before you are dealt any cards you have the option of making a $1 side bet that allows you to participate in additional payouts.
If the Dealer's hand exceeds 21, it is bust, and you automatically win. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck to 6 such decks. You do not need to specify which value the
Ace has as it's always assumed to have the value that makes the best hand. It is the strongest hand in Blackjack, and automatically stands. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a “push”. If you receive an Ace and a Ten value card as your first two cards, you have Blackjack. All hands that purchased INSURANCE win if the dealer has a BLACKJACK – you will break even; if the dealer doesn't have a BLACKJACK the INSURANCE bet loses.
The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more. The player may double after splitting. If you split a pair of Aces and then draw a card with a denomination of 10, this is not Blackjack, although it has a value of 21. If the player doubles and the dealer's first card is of value 11, and the dealer gets blackjack, the player loses both his bets. For example, a King and a Ten have the same numerical value, but cannot be split because the cards are not the same denomination. Click on the OK button to complete the update.
