Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer.
It is played with between one and six standard decks of cards. Aces can be valued at either one or eleven;
if counting the Ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the Ace is
automatically counted as one instead. Your hand cannot be beaten, only matched. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a “push”. The card that remains face down is called the Hole card.
You can split two cards that have the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours. If the Dealer gets Blackjack after you have split or doubled, your entire bet - both the original and double or split amounts - is lost. You neither win nor lose. You may repeat your last bet by simply
hitting the "0" button of your numeric keyboard. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split. You then proceed to draw cards.
