» Blackjack
The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going bust. It is the strongest hand in Blackjack, and automatically stands. In some Casinos the Dealer is dealt two cards but only one is turned so that it's value can be revealed.
After each round, used cards are returned to the deck and the deck is shuffled.
If both the Dealer and your hand have Blackjack, this is also considered a Push and you are paid out your original bet amount. All face cards - Kings, Queens and Jacks, have a value of ten and the Aces can have a value of 1 or 11. If the player's hand is closer to 21 the player wins, if the dealer's hand is closer to 21 the player loses. You can HIT as many times as you wish until your hand goes bust or you decide to STAND. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split.
The SPLIT button is only available if the first two cards dealt are a pair.
