The object of Blackjack is for the total of your cards to be closer to 21 than the dealer’s cards, without exceeding 21. During a game of Blackjack cards are dealt from a deck of cards called a shoe. Aces can be valued at either one or eleven;
if counting the Ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the Ace is
automatically counted as one instead.
An Ace has a value of either 1 or 11. You are dealt one card and your hand automatically stands.
The goal is for the player's hand to add up to 21 or come closer to 21 than the dealer's hand.
If you are dealt an Ace and a 10 or face card this is called a BLACKJACK and your hand will STAND automatically. If the Dealer gets Blackjack after you have split or doubled, your entire bet - both the original and double or split amounts - is lost. You neither win nor lose.
