Blackjack is played with 4 decks of cards – with the jokers removed – that are shuffled after the completion of every game.
It is a game between you and the dealer. Aces can be valued at either one or eleven;
if counting the Ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the Ace is
automatically counted as one instead. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck – no jokers – to 6 or sometimes 8 decks. The Dealer will be dealt one card. Each hand played is a separate wager against the dealer. You are paid your original bet.
The bets can only be changed or added between games. If the dealer's hand and the player's hand are both under 21 the hands are compared. It does not cover any second hands on a split, or a double bet. The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more. If your card count goes over 21, you lose.
