The object of the game is to draw cards totaling closer to 21 than the Dealer draws without going over 21. All face cards are valued at ten and the cards
from 2-10 are valued as indicated. If you are dealt an Ace and a card with a value of 10, you have Blackjack. Blackjack is when your hand contains an Ace and a card with a value of ten. If the value of the dealer's hand is higher than yours you lose. For example, a
hand containing a Jack, 3, and 4 has a value of 17. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts.
The goal is for the player's hand to add up to 21 or come closer to 21 than the dealer's hand.
