Upon wagering, you and the dealer (the
computer) are dealt two cards to start. All face cards are valued at ten and the cards
from 2-10 are valued as indicated. Cards are worth their face value with the exception of Kings, Queens, and Jacks which are each worth 10 and Aces which are
worth either 1 or 11. If the value of your hand is closer to 21 than that of the dealer, you win. If the value of the dealer's hand is higher than yours you lose. Only one additional card allowed on each Ace when splitting a pair of Aces.
After each round, used cards are returned to the deck and the deck is shuffled.
If you are dealt an Ace and a 10 or face card this is called a BLACKJACK and your hand will STAND automatically. If you beat the dealer with a BLACKJACK you are paid out at 3 to 2. It does not cover any second hands on a split, or a double bet. The STAND button ends your hand and moves game play to the next available hand – your next hand or the completion of the dealer's hand. You can split two cards with the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours, by clicking the Split button.
