If you go over 21 this is called going BUST and you automatically lose the hand.
The dealer must stand on a hard or soft 17 or higher and draw on a hard or soft 16 or lower. If the value of your hand is closer to 21 than that of the dealer, you win. BUST Hands: All hands that exceed 21 lose, even if the dealer also goes BUST. The Dealer is dealt two cards but only one card is face up. Each hand played is a separate wager against the dealer.
An Ace and eight will add up to 19 but if the player chooses to take another card that would cause the hand's value to exceed 21 the Ace will revert to a value of 1.
If both the Dealer and your hand have Blackjack, this is also considered a Push and you are paid out your original bet amount. For more information you can also contact the Casino support team. A second wager – equal to your original wager – is automatically placed on your second hand. If you do not have Blackjack on your first two cards, you may decide to stand (draw no more cards), or hit (draw more cards) until you decide to stand.
