Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer.
It is a game between you and the dealer. If you go over 21 this is called going BUST and you automatically lose the hand. Aces can be valued at either one or eleven;
if counting the Ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the Ace is
automatically counted as one instead. Blackjack is when your hand contains an Ace and a card with a value of ten. The Dealer will be dealt one card. Only one additional card allowed on each Ace when splitting a pair of Aces. The Dealer will announce Blackjack, pay you one and one-half times the bet, then remove those cards before acting on any other hands.
Insurance costs half your original bet. If you beat the dealer with a BLACKJACK you are paid out at 3 to 2. If your initial two cards do not total 21 then you may request additional cards, called a Hit. If your hand does not go Bust (exceeds 21) and still does not equal 21 you may continue to request additional cards until your hand goes Bust, reaches 21 or you decide to Stand. If you do not have Blackjack on your first two cards, you may decide to stand (draw no more cards), or hit (draw more cards) until you decide to stand. If you are dealt a Blackjack then he will not be allowed to draw further cards as he already has the best possible hand.
