Classic Blackjack is played with one standard deck of 52 playing cards that is shuffled before each game. During a game of Blackjack cards are dealt from a deck of cards called a shoe. The deck is re-shuffled after each hand. Picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) count as ten. Any combination of cards that contains an Ace card and whose value does not exceed 21 is referred to as a ‘soft hand’. The Dealer will announce Blackjack, pay you one and one-half times the bet, then remove those cards before acting on any other hands.
The Dealer is also dealt two cards but only one card is face up. If the dealer's hand and the player's hand are both under 21 the hands are compared. The Deal button starts a new game of Blackjack. A second wager – equal to your original wager – is automatically placed on your second hand. If your first two cards have the same point value, you may split them into two separate hands by placing a second bet equal to the original bet. If you place a wager that is lower than the
minimum table bet limit, your bet amount will be automatically adjusted to the
minimum bet amount.
