Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer.
Blackjack is played with two standard decks of 52 playing cards that are shuffled after the completion of every game. The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going bust. Blackjack is when your hand contains an Ace and a card with a value of ten. If the total of your cards is more than 21, you “bust” and lose your bet. Any combination of cards that contains an Ace card and whose value does not exceed 21 is referred to as a ‘soft hand’. Only one additional card allowed on each Ace when splitting a pair of Aces.
After each round, used cards are returned to the deck and the deck is shuffled.
However, if the Dealers face up card is an Ace or Ten value card, he will act on all hands. If the Dealer gets Blackjack after you have split or doubled, your entire bet - both the original and double or split amounts - is lost. The dealer will not check for Blackjack in any case. You play both hands as separate hands. If you are dealt a Blackjack then he will not be allowed to draw further cards as he already has the best possible hand.
