Upon wagering, you and the dealer (the
computer) are dealt two cards to start. During a game of Blackjack cards are dealt from a deck of cards called a shoe. Cards are dealt from a deck of cards called a shoe. Dealer stands on all 17's. BUST Hands: All hands that exceed 21 lose, even if the dealer also goes BUST. If your hand does not exceed 21 after receiving eleven cards, your hand automatically stands, and the Dealer plays its hand. The card that remains face down is called the Hole card.
The player may not split a split hand. If the Dealer gets Blackjack after you have split or doubled, your entire bet - both the original and double or split amounts - is lost. If you split a pair of Aces and then draw a card with a denomination of 10, this is not Blackjack, although it has a value of 21. The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split. You can split two cards with the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours, by clicking the Split button.
