Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer.
The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 or 7 playing positions. Wagers are placed in the circles provided. The deck is re-shuffled after each hand. It is the strongest hand in Blackjack, and automatically stands. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a “push”.
After each round, used cards are returned to the deck and the deck is shuffled.
The bets can only be changed or added between games. The player may double after splitting.
If you are dealt a pair you may SPLIT your hand. This means that your pair is divided into two separate hands with two separate wagers. If the player doubles and the dealer's first card is of value 11, and the dealer gets blackjack, the player loses both his bets. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split. You then proceed to draw cards.
