In Blackjack, before you are dealt any cards you have the option of making a $1 side bet that allows you to participate in additional payouts.
The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going Bust. The deck is re-shuffled after each hand. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck – no jokers – to 6 or sometimes 8 decks.
Each of the player's hands is dealt two cards. You may draw up to nine additional cards to make a hand of eleven cards, provided the value of your hand does not exceed 21.
The object of Blackjack is to obtain a hand with the highest possible value without exceeding 21. The player may double after splitting. You may also set your table bet limit below the
maximum specified limit by selecting Bet Options from the Game Menu. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split. You then proceed to draw cards.
