The object of BlackJack is to obtain a hand with the highest possible value without exceeding 21.
Upon wagering, you and the dealer (the
computer) are dealt two cards to start. The cards are dealt clockwise from a dealing "shoe.
An Ace has a value of either 1 or 11. Aces count as one or eleven, whichever is to the Player's advantage. If your hand does not exceed 21 after receiving eleven cards, your hand automatically stands, and the Dealer plays its hand. All hands that purchased INSURANCE win if the dealer has a BLACKJACK – you will break even; if the dealer doesn't have a BLACKJACK the INSURANCE bet loses.
The player may not split a split hand. Your hand is divided into two separate hands and a bet equal to your original bet is placed on the second hand. It does not cover any second hands on a split, or a double bet. You play both hands as separate hands.
