Blackjack is played with two standard decks of 52 playing cards that are shuffled after the completion of every game. If you go over 21 this is called going BUST and you automatically lose the hand. If you receive an ace and a ten-value card as your first two cards, you have Blackjack and win one and a half times your bet. The
value of a hand is the sum of the values of the individual cards. The card that remains face down is called the 'hole card'.
An Ace and eight will add up to 19 but if the player chooses to take another card that would cause the hand's value to exceed 21 the Ace will revert to a value of 1.
Insurance costs half your original bet. If you beat the dealer with a BLACKJACK you are paid out at 3 to 2. The dealer will not check for Blackjack in any case. You may repeat your last bet by simply
hitting the "0" button of your numeric keyboard. If you do not have Blackjack on your first two cards, you may decide to stand (draw no more cards), or hit (draw more cards) until you decide to stand. You then proceed to draw cards.
