Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer.
The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 or 7 playing positions. Aces can be valued at either one or eleven;
if counting the Ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the Ace is
automatically counted as one instead. Each hand played is a separate wager against the dealer.
After each round, used cards are returned to the deck and the deck is shuffled.
If the dealer's hand total and the player's hand total are the same than the hand is a tie or PUSH and the player's bet is returned. All face cards - Kings, Queens and Jacks, have a value of ten and the Aces can have a value of 1 or 11. If you split a pair of Aces and then draw a card with a denomination of 10, this is not Blackjack, although it has a value of 21. The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more. If your first two cards have the same point value, you may split them into two separate hands by placing a second bet equal to the original bet. If your card count goes over 21, you lose.
