The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going Bust. Aces can be valued at either one or eleven;
if counting the Ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the Ace is
automatically counted as one instead. Aces can have a value of either 1 or 11. If the total of your cards is more than 21, you “bust” and lose your bet. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a “push”. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts. The Dealer will announce Blackjack, pay you one and one-half times the bet, then remove those cards before acting on any other hands.
You can split two cards that have the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours. If you beat the dealer with a BLACKJACK you are paid out at 3 to 2. You neither win nor lose. You can HIT as many times as you wish until your hand goes bust or you decide to STAND. If you do not have Blackjack on your first two cards, you may decide to stand (draw no more cards), or hit (draw more cards) until you decide to stand.
If you have SPLIT a pair of aces and then draw a card with a value of ten then this is not a BLACKJACK.
