Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer.
Upon wagering, you and the dealer (the
computer) are dealt two cards to start. Aces can be valued at either one or eleven;
if counting the Ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the Ace is
automatically counted as one instead. Face cards (the Jack, Queen and King) and 10s all have a value of ten. You decide what value is more beneficial to your hand. If the dealer goes BUST but the player's hand is under 21 the player wins. If your hand does not exceed 21 after receiving eleven cards, your hand automatically stands, and the Dealer plays its hand. All hands that purchased INSURANCE win if the dealer has a BLACKJACK – you will break even; if the dealer doesn't have a BLACKJACK the INSURANCE bet loses.
These may be represented as either a + and - symbol or up and down arrows. If the Dealer gets Blackjack after you have split or doubled, your entire bet - both the original and double or split amounts - is lost. The Deal button starts a new game of Blackjack. The Hit button deals you another card. The STAND button ends your hand and moves game play to the next available hand – your next hand or the completion of the dealer's hand. Click on the OK button to complete the update.
