If you go over 21 this is called going BUST and you automatically lose the hand. Cards are worth their face value with the exception of Kings, Queens, and Jacks which are each worth 10 and Aces which are

If your first two cards have the same point value, you may split them into two separate hands by placing a second bet equal to the original bet. If you are dealt a Blackjack then he will not be allowed to draw further cards as he already has the best possible hand.
