The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 or 7 playing positions. The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going Bust. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a “push”.
These may be represented as either a + and - symbol or up and down arrows. If the Dealer gets Blackjack after you have split or doubled, your entire bet - both the original and double or split amounts - is lost. You neither win nor lose.
