Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer. The object of Blackjack is for the total of your cards to be closer to 21 than the dealer’s cards, without exceeding 21. If the value of your hand is closer to 21 than that of the dealer, you win. For example, a hand containing a Jack, 3, and 4 has a value of 17. If your hand does not exceed 21 after receiving eleven cards, your hand automatically stands, and the Dealer plays its hand. After 2 or 3 seconds a box will appear identifying the table number and the minimum and maximum bet. The bets can only be changed or added between games. All face cards - Kings, Queens and Jacks, have a value of ten and the Aces can have a value of 1 or 11. The goal is for the player's hand to add up to 21 or come closer to 21 than the dealer's hand. Cards of the same value but not of the same denomination cannot be split in this version of Blackjack. Other keyboard shortcuts are summarized below. You can split two cards with the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours, by clicking the Split button.
