The objective of Blackjack is to accumulate cards that add up closer to 21 than that of the dealer’s cards, without going over 21. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck – no jokers – to 6 or sometimes 8 decks. Picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) count as ten. After 2 or 3 seconds a box will appear identifying the
table number and the minimum and maximum bet.
If you are dealt an Ace and a 10 or face card this is called a BLACKJACK and your hand will STAND automatically. A new window will open displaying the minimum and maximum bet. The goal is for the player's hand to add up to 21 or come closer to 21 than the dealer's hand. The Modify Table Bet Limit window will appear on the screen. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split.
If you have SPLIT a pair of aces and then draw a card with a value of ten then this is not a BLACKJACK.
