Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer.
This Blackjack is played exclusively with a single 52-card deck, as this offers you the best possible chances of winning. If the Dealer's hand exceeds 21, it is bust, and you automatically win. If you receive an ace and a ten-value card as your first two cards, you have Blackjack and win one and a half times your bet. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck – no jokers – to 6 or sometimes 8 decks. The Dealer will be dealt one card. If your hand does not exceed 21 after receiving eleven cards, your hand automatically stands, and the Dealer plays its hand. You are paid your original bet.
The player may not split a split hand. The DEAL button starts a new game of blackjack. If you split a pair of Aces and then draw a card with a denomination of 10, this is not Blackjack, although it has a value of 21. If your hand does not go Bust (exceeds 21) and still does not equal 21 you may continue to request additional cards until your hand goes Bust, reaches 21 or you decide to Stand.
