The object of Blackjack is for the total of your cards to be closer to 21 than the dealer’s cards, without exceeding 21. If the Dealer's hand exceeds 21, it is bust, and you automatically win. If you receive an ace and a ten-value card as your first two cards, you have Blackjack and win one and a half times your bet. Your hand automatically stands. Our casino version of blackjack is played using European Blackjack rules and four 52-card decks that are shuffled after each hand. You may draw up to nine additional cards to make a hand of eleven cards, provided the value of your hand does not exceed 21. If your hand does not exceed 21 after receiving eleven cards, your hand automatically stands, and the Dealer plays its hand.
The goal is for the player's hand to add up to 21 or come closer to 21 than the dealer's hand.
The amount wagered per hand may be increased or decreased by
placing the mouse on the stack that you wish to add or subtract to your bet. All face cards - Kings, Queens and Jacks, have a value of ten and the Aces can have a value of 1 or 11. Likewise by clicking on the right mouse button you
can decrease your planned wager amount. You can HIT as many times as you wish until your hand goes bust or you decide to STAND. For example, a King and a Ten have the same numerical value, but cannot be split because the cards are not the same denomination.
If you have SPLIT a pair of aces and then draw a card with a value of ten then this is not a BLACKJACK.
