In Classic Blackjack, you can only bet one hand at a time. Blackjack is when your hand contains an Ace and a card with a value of ten.
An Ace has a value of either 1 or 11. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a “push”. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts.
After each round, used cards are returned to the deck and the deck is shuffled.
You can split two cards that have the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours. Your hand is divided into two separate hands and a bet equal to your original bet is placed on the second hand. If you split a pair of Aces and then draw a card with a denomination of 10, this is not Blackjack, although it has a value of 21. If the player doubles and the dealer's first card is of value 11, and the dealer gets blackjack, the player loses both his bets. For example, a King and a Ten have the same numerical value, but cannot be split because the cards are not the same denomination. You can split two cards with the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours, by clicking the Split button.
