Blackjack is amongst the most popular and well recognized of modern Casino games.
The object of the game is to draw cards totaling closer to 21 than the Dealer draws without going over 21. The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going Bust. If you are dealt an Ace and a card with a value of 10, you have Blackjack. If the value of your hand is closer to 21 than that of the dealer, you win. The
value of a hand is the sum of the values of the individual cards. If the hands are of equal value the deal is a push and your money is returned.
The goal is for the player's hand to add up to 21 or come closer to 21 than the dealer's hand.
The player may not split a split hand. The card that remains face down is called the 'hole card'. A second wager – equal to your original wager – is automatically placed on your second hand. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split.
