The goal is for the player's hand to add up to 21 or come closer to 21 than the dealer's hand. If the player doubles and the dealer's first card is of value 11, and the dealer gets blackjack, the player loses both his bets. For example, a King and a Ten have the same numerical value, but cannot be split because the cards are not the same denomination. You can split two cards with the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours, by clicking the Split button.
