The object of BlackJack is to obtain a hand with the highest possible value without exceeding 21.
The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 or 7 playing positions. The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going bust. Your hand cannot be beaten, only matched. It cannot be beaten, only matched. An Ace adopts the value most beneficial for your hand. The Increase and Decrease buttons are used to adjust the size of your bet.
The bets can only be changed or added between games. A new window will open displaying the minimum and maximum bet. It does not cover any second hands on a split, or a double bet. The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more. If you are dealt a Blackjack (an ace and a card of value ten) then the dealer will automatically lose unless his single card is an Ace or a card of value 10. If you are dealt a Blackjack then he will not be allowed to draw further cards as he already has the best possible hand.
