The aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going Bust. If you receive an ace and a ten-value card as your first two cards, you have Blackjack and win one and a half times your bet. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck – no jokers – to 6 or sometimes 8 decks. Picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) count as ten. At this Casino there are 5 playing positions you can choose from and you can play up to 5 hands of blackjack at the same time. In some Casinos the Dealer is dealt two cards but only one is turned so that it's value can be revealed.
An Ace and eight will add up to 19 but if the player chooses to take another card that would cause the hand's value to exceed 21 the Ace will revert to a value of 1.
The amount wagered per hand may be increased or decreased by
placing the mouse on the stack that you wish to add or subtract to your bet.
Each time you click the left mouse button you will add a chip from that pile to
your planned wager amount.
If you are dealt a pair you may SPLIT your hand. This means that your pair is divided into two separate hands with two separate wagers. If the Dealer makes 21 with 3 or more cards, the Players Blackjack wins. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split. Click on the OK button to complete the update.
