Blackjack is amongst the most popular and well recognized of modern Casino games.
This version of Blackjack is played with two standard decks of 52 playing cards that are shuffled before each game.
The dealer must stand on a hard or soft 17 or higher and draw on a hard or soft 16 or lower. You can double when your hand has a value of 9, 10 or 11. Aces count as one or eleven, whichever is to the Player's advantage. You can take Insurance if the Dealer's first card is an Ace.
If the dealer's hand total and the player's hand total are the same than the hand is a tie or PUSH and the player's bet is returned. If the dealer's hand and the player's hand are both under 21 the hands are compared.
If you are dealt a pair you may SPLIT your hand. This means that your pair is divided into two separate hands with two separate wagers. The Hit button deals you another card. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split. If your card count goes over 21, you lose.
