Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer.
The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 or 7 playing positions. All face cards are valued at ten and the cards
from 2-10 are valued as indicated. You do not need to specify which value the
Ace has as it's always assumed to have the value that makes the best hand. The
value of a hand is the sum of the values of the individual cards. If the dealer goes BUST but the player's hand is under 21 the player wins. An Ace adopts the value most beneficial for your hand. The Dealer will announce Blackjack, pay you one and one-half times the bet, then remove those cards before acting on any other hands.
The bets can only be changed or added between games. The card that remains face down is called the 'hole card'. It does not cover any second hands on a split, or a double bet. The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more. You play both hands as separate hands. You can split two cards with the same denomination, such as two Queens or two Fours, by clicking the Split button.
