Blackjack is a game of skill and chance between you and the Dealer.
The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 or 7 playing positions. Wagers are placed in the circles provided. All face cards - Jacks, Kings and Queens, have a value of 10. In this version of Blackjack, you can only bet one hand at a time. You will be dealt two cards. Any combination of cards that contains an Ace card and whose value does not exceed 21 is referred to as a ‘soft hand’. The Increase and Decrease buttons are used to adjust the size of your bet.
If the dealer's hand total and the player's hand total are the same than the hand is a tie or PUSH and the player's bet is returned. The player may double after splitting. If your initial two cards do not total 21 then you may request additional cards, called a Hit. If the player doubles and the dealer's first card is of value 11, and the dealer gets blackjack, the player loses both his bets. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split. If you are dealt a Blackjack then he will not be allowed to draw further cards as he already has the best possible hand.
