The object of BlackJack is to obtain a hand with the highest possible value without exceeding 21.
Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck to 6 such decks. Individual tables may have a higher minimum bet and a lower maximum bet. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts.
The player may not split a split hand. If you beat the dealer with a BLACKJACK you are paid out at 3 to 2. If you split a pair of Aces and then draw a card with a denomination of 10, this is not Blackjack, although it has a value of 21. The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more. For example, a King and a Ten have the same numerical value, but cannot be split because the cards are not the same denomination. If your card count goes over 21, you lose.
