Blackjack is played with eight fifty-two-card decks.
Cards are worth their face value with the exception of Kings, Queens, and Jacks which are each worth 10 and Aces which are
worth either 1 or 11. If the value of your hand is closer to 21 than that of the dealer, you win. BUST Hands: All hands that exceed 21 lose, even if the dealer also goes BUST. An Ace adopts the value most beneficial for your hand. After 2 or 3 seconds a box will appear identifying the
table number and the minimum and maximum bet.
The amount wagered per hand may be increased or decreased by
placing the mouse on the stack that you wish to add or subtract to your bet. If you beat the dealer with a BLACKJACK you are paid out at 3 to 2. You neither win nor lose. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split.
If you have SPLIT a pair of aces and then draw a card with a value of ten then this is not a BLACKJACK.
