The object of Blackjack is for the total of your cards to be closer to 21 than the dealer’s cards, without exceeding 21. Wagers are placed in the circles provided. If you are dealt an Ace and a card with a value of 10, you have Blackjack. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck – no jokers – to 6 or sometimes 8 decks. Picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) count as ten. There are two ways to determine the table bet limit for a specific table. All hands that are dealt an Ace and a 10 or a face card win, unless the dealer also has a BLACKJACK – a PUSH. The card that remains face down is called the Hole card.
The player may not split a split hand. All face cards - Kings, Queens and Jacks, have a value of ten and the Aces can have a value of 1 or 11.
If you are dealt a pair you may SPLIT your hand. This means that your pair is divided into two separate hands with two separate wagers. The Modify Table Bet Limit window will appear on the screen. The Stand button, sometimes called the Stay button, ends your hand and moves the game onto the next phase be it the completion of the dealer's hand or of your second hand in the case of a Split. If you place a wager that is lower than the
minimum table bet limit, your bet amount will be automatically adjusted to the
minimum bet amount.
