The object of BlackJack is to obtain a hand with the highest possible value without exceeding 21.
After each game has been played, the used cards
are shuffled back into the deck. 8 52-card decks are used. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck to 6 such decks. Your hand cannot be beaten, only matched. The Dealer will be dealt one card. If your hand does not exceed 21 after receiving eleven cards, your hand automatically stands, and the Dealer plays its hand. The Dealer will announce Blackjack, pay you one and one-half times the bet, then remove those cards before acting on any other hands.
Insurance costs half your original bet. If the Dealer gets Blackjack after you have split or doubled, your entire bet - both the original and double or split amounts - is lost. If the player's hand is closer to 21 the player wins, if the dealer's hand is closer to 21 the player loses. If the player doubles and the dealer's first card is of value 11, and the dealer gets blackjack, the player loses both his bets. If you are dealt a Blackjack (an ace and a card of value ten) then the dealer will automatically lose unless his single card is an Ace or a card of value 10.
The SPLIT button is only available if the first two cards dealt are a pair.
