Upon wagering, you and the dealer (the
computer) are dealt two cards to start. The cards are dealt clockwise from a dealing "shoe. All face cards - Jacks, Kings and Queens, have a value of 10. If the total of your cards is more than 21, you “bust” and lose your bet. Any combination of cards that contains an Ace card and whose value does not exceed 21 is referred to as a ‘soft hand’. At the casino floor level, you can place your mouse pointer over a specific table.
If you are dealt an Ace and a 10 or face card this is called a BLACKJACK and your hand will STAND automatically. If you beat the dealer with a BLACKJACK you are paid out at 3 to 2. If your initial two cards do not total 21 then you may request additional cards, called a Hit. Other keyboard
shortcuts are summarized below.
If you have SPLIT a pair of aces and then draw a card with a value of ten then this is not a BLACKJACK.
