It is played with between one and six standard decks of cards. In Blackjack, aces count as either 1 or 11, face cards as 10, and number cards as their face value. Traditionally a shoe may contain anything from one standard 52-card deck to 6 such decks. If the total value of your cards is closer to 21 than the dealer’s, you win as much as you had wagered. If the hands are of equal value the deal is a push and your money is returned.
The amount wagered per hand may be increased or decreased by
placing the mouse on the stack that you wish to add or subtract to your bet. The card that remains face down is called the 'hole card'. The Deal button starts a new game of Blackjack. If your hand does not go Bust (exceeds 21) and still does not equal 21 you may continue to request additional cards until your hand goes Bust, reaches 21 or you decide to Stand. If your first two cards have the same point value, you may split them into two separate hands by placing a second bet equal to the original bet. If your card count goes over 21, you lose.
