Blackjack is a game of skill and chance between you and the Dealer.
Aces can be valued at either one or eleven;
if counting the Ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the Ace is
automatically counted as one instead. Cards 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 count at face value. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts. The card that remains face down is called the Hole card.
The object of Blackjack is to obtain a hand with the highest possible value without exceeding 21. All face cards - Kings, Queens and Jacks, have a value of ten and the Aces can have a value of 1 or 11. Cards of the same value but not of the same denomination cannot be split in this version of Blackjack. For example, a King and a Ten have the same numerical value, but cannot be split because the cards are not the same denomination. You then proceed to draw cards.
